Description: Special Birthday Mandy is the last of the five My Friend Mandy dolls that were made by Fisher-Price. This one-year-only special Mandy is dressed in a special pink and white striped party dress, lacy tights, and a silver party hat. She also comes with a small birthday gift for you.

While pictures on the set box and most sealed boxed sets feature the new "puckered lips" Mandy (introduced in 1984 as #216 My Friend Mandy), this set was also available using the "original" Mandy

• FPT3616 - Mandy - Doll with a plastic head, arms and legs, and a pink/flesh colored stuffed cloth body. She has blonde brushable hair, blue eyes, "puckered" lips and a nose with nostrils ("new Mandy"). Tag sewn on her back is marked, "Fisher-Price Toys, Division of the Quaker Oats Co, 216 ©1984, 209 ©1984, 218 ©1981, 4009 ©1985". *See "Variations" below.
• FPT3617 - Pink and white vertical striped mid-length party dress with short sleeves. The dress has a pink ribbon around the waist with a yellow bow and a tiny pink satin rose in the center. The dress has white lace around the collar and white lace around the bottom edge. Measures 7" tall x 7-1/2" wide.
• FPT3619 - White open-mesh "fishnet type" lacy hose/tights with a flower pattern. The tights have an elastic waist and built-in "socks". Measures 8" long x 4-1/2" wide.
• Shoes. Most of the My Friend dolls were made just like human shoes with a left shoe to fit the left foot and a right shoe to fit the right foot. It looks backwards and doesn't quit fit properly when the wrong shoes is on the wrong foot. The bottom of the shoes are marked "LEFT" or "RIGHT":
  • FPT8338RH - White/off-white shoe with a rounded toe area and an enclosed toe, sides, and heel. The shoe is marked "RIGHT" on the bottom. Measures 2-3/8" long x 1-1/4" wide x 1" tall.
  • FPT8338LH - White/off-white shoe with a rounded toe area and an enclosed toe, sides, and heel. The shoe is marked "LEFT" on the bottom. Measures 2-3/8" long x 1-1/4" wide x 1" tall.
• FPT3618 - Silver cone-shaped party hat with white and blue frills around the bottom edge and a chinstrap (white) elastic band attached to the sides. Measures 3" tall x 2" diameter.
• FPT3620 - Small pink Bracelet (birthday present).
• FPT8579 - Hot pink gift-wrapped box that the bracelet comes in. The box has a tiny silver bow on the top. *See "Variations" below.
• FPT30078 - Instruction booklet titled "Caring for My Friend Dolls" with details on how to wash, shampoo, and groom. The booklet has a picture of Jenny, Mandy, Mikey, Becky, and Nicky on the cover (Mandy & Nicky are dressed in cheerleader outfits).

• FPT8580 - Blue gift-wrapped box that the bracelet comes in. The box has a tiny white polka dots and a pink bow on the top.
