Description: This wooden duck family was made for a total of 12 years, and was changed 4 times during this period. These changes are noted below. All versions of this toy have a Mama duck followed by 3 baby ducks. Mama duck quacks and all of the ducks waddle when the toy is pulled.
Accessories:
  • 1940-1942 - This duck family is connected together via rubber connectors that allows child to change the position of the ducks. The mama duck is similar to the duck that was sold as 1939's #300 Quacko Duck. Measures 16" long, 4-3/4" high, 4" wide when linked together. *See "Variations" below. Removable parts listed below:
    • FPT4414 - Mama Duck - Duck with a round yellow wooden body, a yellow and red heavy rubber beak, a heavy rubber tail, and a red wooden beret-style hat. Duck has black printed eyes and eye brows, a red wooden collar, and he rolls on two blue wooden wheels. When pulled by his pull string, the duck waddles and makes a "quack" sound. Measures 4-3/4" high, 4-1/4" long, 4" wide.
    • FPT4880 - Baby duck with a round light blue wooden body, a round light blue wooden head with a yellow rubber bill, and black printed eyes. Duck rolls on 2 blue wooden wheels.
    • FPT4881 - Baby duck with a round red wooden body, a round red wooden head with a yellow rubber bill, and black printed eyes. Duck rolls on 2 blue wooden wheels.
    • FPT4882 - Baby duck with a round yellow wooden body, a round yellow wooden head with a yellow rubber bill, and black printed eyes. Duck rolls on 2 blue wooden wheels.
    • 3 each - FPT19460 - Black rubber connectors that link the mama and baby ducks together.
Variations:
  • 1946-Easter 1948 - FPT4415 - Duck family connected together via black wooden dowels. All of the ducks have a yellow felt bill. The style and color of the ducks are the same as above, except the baby duck's now have red wooden necks. Mama duck has a concealed "Quack-Quack" voice. Patent No. 2,282,179-2,424,607. Canadian Patent No. 408,059. Measures 13-1/4" long, 5" high, 3-1/2" wide.
  • 1948 only - FPT4416 - Duck family connected together via metal connectors. All of the ducks have a yellow felt bill. The style and color of the ducks are the same as above, except the baby duck's now have red wooden necks. Mama duck has a concealed "Quack-Quack" voice. Patent No. 2,282,179. Canadian Patent No. 408,059. Measures 13-1/4" long, 5" high, 3-1/2" wide.
  • 1949-Easter 1954 - FPT4417 - Duck family connected together via metal connectors. All of the ducks have a yellow plastic bill. The style and color of the ducks are the same as above, except the baby duck's now have red wooden necks. Mama duck has a concealed "Quack-Quack" voice. Patent No. 2,282,179-2,424,607. Canadian Patent No. 408,059. Measures 13-1/2" long, 5" high, 3-1/2" wide.
  • 1954-19?? - FPT44329 - Duck family connected together via metal connectors. All of the ducks have a yellow plastic bill. Mama duck is wearing a round red wooden hat with an indention on the top sides...not flat on top. Ducks have no neck. The first baby duck is red, the second is light blue, and the third is light yellow. Mama duck has a concealed "Quack-Quack" voice.
  • 19??-1958 - FPT4418 - Duck family connected together via metal connectors. All of the ducks have a yellow plastic bill. Mama duck is wearing a round red wooden hat with an indention on the top sides...not flat on top. The first baby duck is green, the second is red, and the third is blue. Mama duck has a concealed "Quack-Quack" voice. Canadian Design Patent No. 121/18,552. Design Patent No. 163,551. Measures 13" long, 5" high, 3-1/2" wide.
