Description: This well known, long lived rock-a-stack has a rainbow colored plastic rings that fit over the center pole of the base. The rings graduate in size teaching children basic color and shape perception. Designed for children ages 6 months to 3 years old.

Originally introduced with 6 rings and a wooden base, the set eventually became all plastic with only 5 rings. The 5 ring set continued into 1990's as the #1050 Rock-A-Stack.

Accessories:
  • 1960-1966:
    • FPT20294 - Square white WOODEN base with a rounded bottom and a hole on top to attach the removable pole. The sides of the base have a black paper lithograph with a red circle marked "f" and a blue circle marked "p" and the words "Fisher-Price Toys" and "627" in white. Measures 4" wide x 4" deep.
    • FPT20295 - Yellow plastic pole with a small molded ball on the top and screw threads on the bottom to screw into the top center of the rocking base.
    • 6 plastic rings (smallest to largest):
      • FPT - Purple (smallest, top ring)
      • FPT16659 - Blue
      • FPT - Green
      • FPT - Yellow
      • FPT16660 - Orange - Measures 4-1/8" diameter.
      • FPT16661 - Red - Measures 4-3/8" diameter.
  • 1967-1974:
    • FPT20296 - Square white PLASTIC base with a rounded bottom and a hole on top to attach the removable pole. The sides of the base have a black paper lithograph with a red circle marked "f" and a blue circle marked "p" and the words "Fisher-Price Toys" and "627" in white. Measures 4" wide x 4" deep.
    • Same pole and 6 rings as 1960-1966.
  • 1975-1979:
    • FPT20297 - Square white plastic base with a rounded bottom and a hole on top to attach the removable pole. The sides of the base have a BLUE paper lithograph with a red and white circle marked "f" and a blue and white circle marked "p" and the words "Fisher-Price Toys, East Aurora, N.Y.", "MADE IN U.S.A" and "627" in black. Measures 4" wide x 4" deep. *See "Variations" below.
    • Same pole and 6 rings as 1960-1966.
  • 1980-1989 (5 ring set):
    • FPT16657 - Square white plastic base with a rounded bottom and a hole on top to attach the removable pole. The sides of the base have a PINK heat-stamp marked "Fisher-Price®, 627, MADE IN U.S.A".
    • FPT16658 - Yellow plastic pole with a slightly recessed "neck" near the top and screw threads on the bottom to screw into the top center of the rocking base.

      • FPT16910 - Small blue 3-1/2" diameter.
      • FPT16831 - Medium green - 3-3/4" diameter.
      • FPT16832 - Medium yellow - 4-1/8" diameter.

  • 1975-1979:
    • FPT30372 - Square white plastic base with a rounded bottom and a hole on top to attach the removable pole. The sides of the base have a BLUE paper lithograph with a red and white circle marked "f" and a blue and white circle marked "p" and the words "Fisher-Price Toys" and "627" in black. Not marked "East Aurora, NY" and NOT marked "Made in USA". Measures 4" wide x 4" deep.
  • 1980-1989 - 5 Ring Variations:
    • FPT20276 - Small red - 3-1/2" diameter.
    • FPT16835 - Medium orange - 3-3/4" diameter.
    • FPT16832 - Medium yellow - 4-1/8" diameter.
    • FPT16830 - Large green - 4-1/2" diameter.
    • FPT20286 - Large blue - 4-7/8" diameter.
Other Information:
  • This set was sold in a 8-3/4" long, 10-1/2" high, 4-3/4" deep display package.
  • 1990 - The part number changed to #1050 Rock-A-Stack.
