Description: Fisher-Price introduced the #540 Granny Duck in 1939 as one of the 1939 East toys. The #540 Granny Duck is a cart in the shape of a duck that makes a clicking sound while Granny duck turns her head from side to side. The #545 is the same as the #540, except the #545 does not have a clicking sound and the duck's head does not move. Both the #540 and #545 were marked "#540" making it a bit confusing for collectors.
Accessories:
  • FPT4279 - Wooden cart in the shape of a duck that rolls on 4 red wooden wheels. The cart has a red square front and back panel. The front panel has a yellow wooden "neck" bead with a wooden cut-out duck head on the top. The sides of the cart have paper lithographs of a blue jacket and white gloved hands holding a red purse. The head has paper lithographs on both sides of a granny duck wearing a blue bonnet with flowers on top. Marked "540" above a black and yellow Fisher-Price logo on the side, but was sold to stores as the #545 because this duck does not have a clicker and the duck's head does not turn from side to side.
Variations: None.
