Description: The #1006 Floor Train is a set of 4 small wooden train cars that are relative in size to the Fisher-Price Step Blocks. The train cars do not have wheels. The engine has a peg on back to connect other cars. The 3 train cars have a hole on one end, and a wooden peg on the other to connect them all together. The train is 31" long when linked together.
Accessories:
  • FPT4431 - Blue wooden train engine with no wheels. The engine has a flat rectangular base with a point on the front. It has a round boiler with a small round smoke stack on top. The engine has a square cabin area with a small angled roof on the back. The back of the engine has a square coal storage area (Yellow/Black Fisher-Price logo on back of coal storage). Engine has a small upright peg on the back to connect other train cars. *See 'variations' below.
  • FPT4434 - Yellow wooden train tank car with no wheels. The tank car has a flat oval-shaped base with a hole on one end and an upright peg on the other end. The center of the tank car has a round wooden "fuel tank" with a round knob on top.
  • FPT4433 - Green wooden gondola/flat car train car with no wheels. The gondola has a flat oval-shaped base with a hole on one end and an upright peg on the other end. The gondola has 2 short walls on the side forming a rectangle. *See 'variations' below.
  • FPT4435 - Red wooden caboose with no wheels. The caboose has a flat oval-shaped base with a hole on one end and an upright peg on the other end. The center of the caboose has a rectangular building with a roof that hangs over on the ends. The top of the roof has a square in the center.

Variations:

  • FPT30302 - Black train engine.
  • FPT30303 - Yellow train car with raised rectangular 'room' with roof and open doorway on both sides.
Other Information:
  • We do not know exactly how long this set was made, however it was pictured in the 1937-1938 Fisher-Price dealers catalogue.
  • 1937-1938 retail price was $1.00.
