Description: The very first Little People hospital set was introduced in 1976 as the #931 Play Family Children's Hospital. The #931 was discontinued in 1978, and the Little People line has been without a hospital for over twenty years. Finally in 2000, Fisher-Price introduced a new hospital set, Eddie's Doctor Visit. Although this set doesn't hold a candle next to the #931, it does have quite a few suprisingly cute features. The base of the set has an examination table that makes sounds when the Little People figures sits on it. The sounds are of a child coughing, sneezing, and saying "aaah" for a throat exam. The base also has a medicine cabinet with opening doors, and a spinning roll of stickers inside for good patients. The two outer walls of the base fold out and in. They fold out for playtime, and fold in for carry and go or for storage. The base has a carry handle on the top, and the accessory pieces store inside.
This set was sold with a male Dr. Michael figure or with a female Dr. Maria figure (green/turquoise shirt or pink). |
