Hideaway Hollow
Identification Main Index
The Fisher-Price Hideaway Hollow toyline was a one-year-only series from 1997 that featured a family of posable bunny figures that live in a tree. The toyline introduced 7 different sets: a tree-like bunny home sold with a family of 3 bunnies and a few pieces of furniture and accessories, 5 small accessory sets that were sold with one bunny figure each, and a set of 3 bunny figures sold alone. The 1997 Fisher-Price ToyFair dealer catalogue pictures a Fox family of 3 and a Bear family of 3, but neither the Fox nor Bear set made it to production.
It is a shame that the Hideaway Hollow series did not survive more than 1 year as the sets are really quite cute. The wood-simulated "tree" and "leaf" accessories are very creative, unique, and "different" enough to draw children's attention. Some of the accessories are carryovers from the 1993-1999 doll house series, or just the same piece colored differently, but all other accessories are one-year-only exclusives.
