Fisher-Price introduced the Flip Track series in 1992. Flip Track sets are like having two sets in one. They include a variety of track pieces, all of which have railroad track on one side and a runway on the other side. The tracks include long pieces, short pieces, curves, and more that connect together in a variety of ways. The sets were not sold with people figures, but they were sold with several different vehicles, road signs, buildings, and more.
The best thing about the Flip Track series is that the sets are not only fun for children to play with, but they also stimulate creativity, help with hand and eye coordination, and require hands-on play (no annoying electronic gadgets that force children to sit and watch the toy).
The Flip Track series remain in production for four years, 1996 being the last year of production. During these four year, only 15 sets were made, 6 of which were merely accessory sets sold with vehicles and signs (no track). Click here for a list of all known Flip Track sets that were made.
