In 1977 Fisher-Price introduced the very first "My Friend" doll...#210 My Friend Mandy. Unlike most dolls, Mandy is not a baby, she is a little girl, the perfect age to be a best friend. Mandy was sold with easily removable high quality and high detailed clothing. As years passed, other My Friend dolls were added to the line and several individually sold outfits were sold as well. Most of the dolls and outfits were sold with patterns to make other clothes for the My Friend Dolls.

The My Friend Doll line is the biggest and most successful Doll line ever made by Fisher-Price to date. The line remained in production until 1985 and it is currently the most collectable Fisher-Price doll line.
