Description: In 1936 Fisher-Price introduced the #760 Racing Ponies: two detailed racing horses with jockey riders. The horses bob when they "race" and the bell attached to each horse rings. The one-year-only #760 Racing Ponies must not had been a very good seller...perhaps the idea of racing horses and professional jockeys was too close to the idea of "gambling" for parents of the 1930's. Fisher-Price gave the Racing Ponies a toned-down babyish feel by making the horses a bit chunky and less detailed and by changing the jockeys to little boys wearing polo outfits.

Accessories:
- FPT4380 - Two 3/4" wide wooden cut out horses with paper lithographs on the side: one horse is greyish-white with a red bridle and rein and a boy rider wearing a red shirt, green polo pants, brown polo boots, and a yellow and blue striped cap. The other horse is black with a red bridle and rein with a boy rider that looks identical to the boy rider on the other horse. The horses are connected via metal axles and they roll together on 4 wooden wheels. The front axle is jagged causing the horses to bob when the toy rolls. Each horse has a metal bell under his neck that rings when the horses race. Measures 10" long, 7-7/8" high, 5-3/4" wide.
