Description: The Spelling Starter is an electronic game with 9 different activities that helps children learn how to spell. It has a 2 row keyboard with letters A-Z, and a row of yellow keys above them that are used for the various spelling games. The Spelling Starter has a small digital screen and a brightly colored letter A next to an apple with a worm in it on one side of the screen and a letter Z with a zebra next to it on the other side. A small knob on the back allows control of the screen brightness. Requires four AA-size batteries (not included).

  • This set was sold with a 1-year limited warranty.
  • Also see 1988's #6602 Math Starter, as it is the same size and shape as the Spelling Starter, but colored red and white opposed the blue and white.
