Description: The #400 Tailspin Tabby was one of the 16 very first toys that were made by Fisher-Price in their beginnings in 1931. Tabby is one of the Fisher-Price patented Pop-Up Kritters (Patented October 5, 1926-No. 1,601,983) that are made of bead and string construction allowing the Kritter to spring to life when the strings are pulled tightly, squirm and sway around as the strings are loosened, and laying flat when the strings are loosened all the way. Pop-Up Kritters are mounted on a paddle and the control strings have metal loops on the end to allow easy maneuvering. The Tailspin Tabby Pop-Up is a black bead cat that is mounted on a red square base opposed to a wooden paddle. The bottom of the base has a wooden disc that is used to control Tabby's movements. Unlike other Pop-Up Kritters, the #600 Tailspin Tabby Pop-Up stands erect for display when not being played with.
Accessories:
  • FPT4292 - Cat constructed of black beads with white facial markings and a white bead on the end of his tail. The cat stands on a red square push-button box. When the wood disc beneath the box is pushed, the cat will collapse. There is a yellow label on the front of the box marked "TAILSPIN TABBY POP-UP" with a Fisher-Price logo and model number written. Measures 7" high, 3-3/4" long and 2-3/4" wide.
Variations: None.
