Description: The Precious Places® Country Kitchen Cottage is a 2-story home with a pink roof, a key-activated light, a mailbox, carport, patio area, and lots of furniture to put in the house. The Precious Places® magnetic key can be used both to turn on the light, open a lock on the lower-level back wall to lay the wall down, and to move the figures around in the house or on the accessory sidewalks. The house has a gap under both floors to allows the key to move under it. The figures and some of the accessories have a magnet on the bottom that follows the magnet in the key when the key moves under the floor, this makes the figure appear to "come alive" and move by itself. Designed for children ages 5 years and older. The light requires two AA-size batteries.

Accessories:
- FPT6698 - Square white plastic country kitchen cottage base with pink paper litho "siding" on the outside walls. The front of the cottage has a door opening for the FPT16859 door. There is a front step outside the doorway that can attach to any Precious Places® sidewalk piece. The side wall has an open window, and the opposite side wall has a picture of a window. The building has pictures of plants and flowers on the outside walls, and pictures of kitchen cainets and a kitchen window inside. The building has an open top to attach the FPT6699 2nd story level, and an open back to attach the FPT16865 fold-down back wall. Marked "©1988 FISHER-PRICE, DIVISION OF THE QUAKER OATS CO., MADE IN MACAO" under the front step. Measures 4-1/4" wide, 4-1/2" tall, 5-1/2" deep.
- Kitchen Cottage Building Accessories:
- FPT16859 - Small white door with a metal door knob, an open window on the top half with a diamond pattern, and a paper litho on the bottom half marked "Precious Places®". The door has a small mailslot under the window. There is a small peg on the upper and lower left corners to attach to a doorway. Measures 2-3/8" tall, 1-1/4" wide.
- FPT16865 - Square white back wall that fits on the back of the FPT6698 cottage building. The wall has a paper litho on one side with pink siding and lots of flowers, and a paper litho on the other side of a yellow rug (inside). The outside wall has a pink keyhole. When the wall is attached to the cottage, the keyhole can be unlocked with a Precious Places® key to lay the wall down and reveal the inside of the shop. Measures 3-7/8" wide, 3-3/4" tall.
- FPT6699 - Square white cottage 2nd story piece with a permanently attached curved bay window on one corner, and 2 walls on the opposite corner. One wall has a window and the other wall has a door in the center. The outside walls have pink litho siding, purple flowers, and purple butterflies. The inside walls have pink and purple bedroom furniture lithos. This level has 2 open areas that double as balconies (balcony railing are seperate pieces). The center of the floor has a square opening that allows the light to shine down to the lower level. A seperate white railing fits around the opening to prevent falls. The top of the 2nd story is open to place the FPT6700 roof on top. Marked "©1988 FISHER-PRICE, MACAO" on the bottom. Measures 6-1/8" wide, 3-1/8" tall, 5-3/8" deep.
- 2nd Story Railing:
- FPT6676 - White hard plastic left-side railing that fit on the FPT6699 2nd story piece balcony. The railing is curved on the left end, and has 2 small connector pegs on the bottom. The railing has a top and bottom horizontal support rail with 5 round decorative spokes between the support rails. Measures 3" long, 15/16" tall, 1" deep.
- FPT6677 - White hard plastic right-side railing that fit on the FPT6699 2nd story piece balcony. The railing is curved on the right end, and has 2 small connector pegs on the bottom. The railing has a top and bottom horizontal support rail with 5 round decorative spokes between the support rails. Measures 3" long, 15/16" tall, 1" deep.
- FPT6678 - Small white hard plastic C-shaped railing that fits outside of the FPT6699 2nd story piece bedroom doorway. The railing is curved on both ends. It has a top and bottom horizontal support rail and 3 decorative spokes between the top and bottom support rails (in the front). Each end has a straight non-decorative support rail between the top and bottom rails. The bottom has 2 short pegs that fit into the 2 holes on the 2nd story piece (outside of the doorway). Measures 1-5/8" long, 7/8" high, 7/8" deep.
- FPT6679 - Small square white hard plastic railing that fits around the square hole in the center of the FPT6699 2nd story floor. This railing has a square top and bottom rail and 8 rounded decorative spokes between the top and bottom rails. The bottom has 4 small pegs (one on each corner) to fit into the holes on the 2nd story floor. Measures 1-3/4" wide, 7/8" high, 1-3/4" deep.
- Roof & Accessory Pieces:
- FPT6700 - Pink roof that has a white chimney with a key hole on top that turns a light on and off inside the cottage. The roof has a square section on the top with a deep rectangular hole that has the battery compartment on the side, which holds 2 AA-size batteries. The roof has 3 windows on the sides, each with a tall pitch shingle-simulated roof. Each window has a paper litho with a picture of yellow flowers in a purple vase sitting in a window. The roof has a small rectangular hole on one side to fit a Precious Places® key into. The bottom of the roof (ceiling) has a lightsocket that holds a 3V bulb and a clear plastic "chandalier" cover. Marked with "REMOVE" and "INSTALL" arrows on the bottom to help install the chandalier. Marked "©1988 FISHER-PRICE, MACAO". Measures 4-5/8" long, 4-3/4 wide, 2-1/2" tall.
- FPT6645 - Small flat square white battery cover that covers the battery compartment on top certain style Precious Places® lighted roofs. Measures 1-7/8" wide, 1-7/8" long.
- FPT16861 - Small round 3V light bulb that attaches to the roof section of lighted Precious Places® buildings. Measures 7/8" long, 3/8" diameter bulb. See Replacement Bulb TOT114.
- FPT6622 - Round clear plastic 3-tier chandelier that covers the FPT16861 light bulb inside of lighted Precious Places® buildings. The bottom tier is textures to remove the chandelier. Two sides of the top (largest) tier have pegs that help the chandelier stay attached to a battery-powered Precious Places® roof piece. Measures 1-1/16" diameter (1-7/16" wide including side pegs), 7/8" high.
- FPT6702 - Pink rounded half-circle cone-shaped scalloped shingle-simulated roof piece that fits over the FPT6699 2nd story bay window. The top roof pitch is pointed and the outer edges are scalloped. The inside is hollow with 2 tall support legs and a round support lip. Measures 3-1/2" long, 1-3/4" tall, 2-1/2" deep.
- FPT6704 - Square pink driveway roof piece that attaches to the outside of the FPT6698 cottage base. The roof has 9 raised green verticle stripes on one side, an angled connector flap on the other side to connect to the cottage. Measures 3-5/8" long, 3-3/4" wide, 1-1/4" high.
- FPT6701 - Pink rounded awning that fits over the front doorway on the FPT6698 cottage. The awning has a scalloped edge across the bottom. Marked "©'88 F-P, Macao" on the underside. Measures 2-3/4" wide, 1-7/16" deep, 1-5/8" high.
- FPT6703 - White plastic driveway piece that attaches to the side of the FPT6698 cottage base. The driveway has a paper litho on one side that has pink brinks with white hearts in the center of some. The other side has 5 long support pegs to keep the driveway raised enough to fit a magnetic Precious Places® key under it. The driveway is curved on one end, and has a ramp on the other end. The curved end has 8 small holes along the edges to attach a fence piece. One side has 2 large holes for the driveway support posts to attach the FPT6704 driveway roof. Marked "©1988 FISHER-PRICE, MACAO" on the underside. Measures 5-5/8" long, 4-7/8" wide, 7/8" high.
- 2 each - FPT6685 - Round white support post with a short rounded peg on one end and a longer rounded peg on the other end. The post has 2 small rings in the center and a larger ring near the end with the short peg. Measures 2-1/4" long, 7/16" diameter.
- FPT6705 - White plastic patio piece that attaches to the side of the FPT6698 cottage base. The patio has a paper litho on one side that has lots of flowers and green grass with a round yellow "tile" patio in the center. The other side has 5 long support pegs to keep the driveway raised enough to fit a magnetic Precious Places® key under it. The patio is curved on one end with 8 small holes along the edges to attach a fence piece. Marked "©1988 FISHER-PRICE, MACAO" on the underside. Measures 5-5/8" long, 4-7/8" wide, 7/8" high.
- 2 each - FPT6615 - White soft plastic ornamental railings/fence. The railing has 17 upright posts with 8 small pegs on the bottom The fence has ornamental designs between each post. Measures 9" long, 1-1/4" tall, 1/16" thick.
- FPT6687 - Small white mailbox with a C-shaped clamp on the back. The mailbox has an open front (no door) and a molded address tag on top. Measures 15/16" long, 1/2" wide, 9/16" high.
- Furniture:
- 2 each - FPT6688 - Small white chair with a high backrest and an inward curved seat (figures do not really sit in the chairs, instead figure stands in front of chair). The chair has 2 wide support legs (one on each side). There is a heart-shaped hole in the top middle of the backrest. Marked "©-88 F-P, MACAO" on the back. Measures 1-7/8" tall, 1" wide, 1/2" deep.
- Three-Piece Umbrella Table:
- FPT6706 - Round blue table with 4 legs and a hole in the center of the table top to attach the for FPT6707 umbrella pole. The tabletop has a scallopped design on the edge. Marked "©'88 F-P, MACAO" under the table. Measures 1-3/8" diameter, 13/16" high.
- FPT6707 - Small round pink umbrella pole that fits into the hole in the center of the FPT6706 umbrella table. Measures 1-7/8" long, 1/8" diameter.
- FPT6708 - Small round dome-shaped pink umbrella with a small round circle on top and scalloped sides and edges. There is a hole in the inside center for the FPT6707 umbrella pole to attach to. Measures 1-3/4" diameter, 3/4" high.
- FPT6709 - Small blue bedroom dresser with an oval-shaped "mirror" on top. The dresser has top molded pretend drawer with pink hearts and a pink flower design on the front. There is an open square area below the top drawer to insert the FPT6710 double drawers. Marked "©-88 F-P, MACAO" on the back. Measures 2" tall, 1-1/8" wide, 5/8" deep.
- FPT6710 - White rectangular "double drawers" (1-drawer). The drawer has 2 wide slightly rasied white handles on the front, and 4 pink hearts on the front sides. The top is open to store things inside. Measures 1" wide, 5/8" high, 5/8" deep.
- FPT6711 - Long, narrow blue lounge chair with 3 angled folds, and a quilt-simulated pattern on the top. The chair has 4 tiny peg legs on the bottom that are easily broken. Marked "©'88 F-P, MACAO" on the bottom. Measures 2-5/8" long, 1" wide, 1-1/8" high.
- FPT6712 - Blue settee seat with a white quilt-simulated seat. The sette has a blue arm rest and a curved backrest with a wicker-simulated edge across the top. Half of the seat has a U-shaped hole to allow a Precious Places® figures to stand there. Figures do not acturally "sit" in the seat. The settee has 6 long tiny support legs that break very easily. Marked "©'88 F-P, MACAO" on the bottom. Measures 2-5/8" long, 1-1/2" tall, 1-3/8" deep.
- Kitchen Furniture:
- FPT6713 - White rectangular refridgerator with a paper litho picture inside of shelves full of food, and a glass of ice under an icemaker. The front 2 left corners of the refridgerator have small pegs with a hole in the center to attach the refridgerator door. The back of the refridgerator has molded coiled "tubes" near the top, and a molded motor and mouse at the bottom. Marked "©'88 F-P, MACAO" on the back. Measures 2-1/16" tall, 1-1/4" wide, 1" deep.
- FPT6714 - Pink rectangular refridgerator door with a round metal door knob that can be moved with a Precious Places® magnetic key. The door has raised heart designs on the front corners, and the back of the door has molded refridgerator shelves. Measures 1-15/16" tall, 1-1/16" wide, 1/4" deep.
- FPT6715 - Small pink oven/stove with a white paper litho range on the top with 4 burners and a grill (litho may be missing). The stove has a small shelf above the range, and a rectangular hole under the range for the oven. The front bottom corners have small pegs with holes on the inside to attach the FPT6716 oven door. The top 2 corners have raised molded hearts. Marked "©'88 F-P, MACAO" on the back. Measures 1-5/8" wide, 1-9/16" tall, 1" deep.
- FPT6716 - Flat white rectangular oven door with a wide raised handle across the top, a heart shape cut out in the center, and raised molded heart designs on all 4 corners. Measures 1-3/8" wide, 3/4" high.
- Kitchen Dishes & Accessories:
- 4 each - FPT6718 - Tiny round dark pink coffee cup with a tiny squared handle on one side. Measures 3/8" diameter (not including the handle) and 1/8" high.
- 4 each - FPT6719 - Small flat round dark pink coffee cup saucer with a slight raised edge on the top sides, and a tiny slightly raised edge on the bottom. Measures 1/2" diameter. 1-1/16" thick.
- 4 each - FPT6720 - Tiny round dark pink bowl with raised edges on the sides, and a tiny slightly raised edge on the bottom. Measures 9/16" diameter, 3/16" deep.
- 4 each - FPT6721 - Small round dark pink plates with a slightly raised heart imprint in the center, a wide raised edge on the sides, and a slightly raised edge on the bottom. Measures 5/8" diameter, 1/8" thick. *See "Variations" below.
- FPT6717 - Small round light pink pie that is rounded on top and hollow on the underside. The top has 4 molded flower designs with an X in the center, and heart designs between each flower. The pie has pie crust scalloped edges on the outer edge. The bottom has a slightly raised rim. Measures 11/16" diameter, 1/4" high.
- Sidewalk Pieces:
- 2 each - FPT17058 - Tiny light pink heart with molded flowers on top of the heart and 2 pegs on the bottom. This heart piece is used to connect the sidewalk pieces together.
- FPT6626 - Light pink straight sidewalk piece. The top of the sidewalk has scalloped edges on 4 sides with a gap in the center to create a 3 or 4 way crossing through the middle. The bottom of the sidewalk has 3 support legs that raises the sidewalk enough to allow a Precious Places® magnetic key to fit under. The center support leg has connector pegs on the 2 outer sides to connect other sidewalk pieces or Precious Places® bases. Each end support leg has a connector peg on the outer side. Marked "©1988 FISHER-PRICE, MACAO" on the bottom. Measures 7-1/4" long (including outer pegs), 2-3/4" wide, 3/4" high. *Note: Some of these sidewalk pieces have metal screws and washers that hold the two end feet in place, but most sidewalks do not. *Note: This sidewalk is made of 4 different pieces, see below for individual part numbers:
- FPT16915 - Light pink straight sidewalk piece. The top of the sidewalk has scalloped edges on 4 sides with a gap in the center to create a 3 or 4 way crossing through the middle. The bottom of the sidewalk has 3 round pegs to attach the seperate feet pieces to. Marked "©1988 FISHER-PRICE, MACAO" on the bottom. Measures 7" long, 2-1/2" wide, 3/4" high.
- FPT16918 - Rectangular sidewalk foot that fit under the center section of the FPT16915 or FPT16916 sidewalk piece. The foot has a raised circle in the center that has a hole through the middle. The two long ends of the foot have a 1/2 circle shaped connector peg on the end and a 1/2 circle shaped connector receiver hole beside the peg. Measures 2-3/4" long, 1-1/8" wide, 1/4" high (center peg).
- 2 each - FPT16917 - Rectangular sidewalk foot that fit under the end sections of the FPT16915 or FPT16916 sidewalk piece. The foot a raised circle in the center that has a hole through the middle. One side of the rectangle has an attached squared area with a 1/2 circle shaped connector peg on the end and a 1/2 circle shaped connector receiver hole beside the peg. Measures 1-7/8" long, 1-7/8" wide, 1/4" high (center peg). *Note: Sometime this foot is held on via small Phillips head screw with an attached 5/16" diameter washer. Screw measures 5/16" long. Screw is not required and omitted sometime during production.
- FPT14414 - Light pink curved sidewalk piece. The top of the sidewalk has scalloped edges on 3 sides (2 on outer edge, 1 on inner curve) with a gap in the center of the 2 to create a 3 way crossing. - FPT6723 - Precious Places® Mom - Mother figures with brownish-red hair in a bun. She is wearing a yellow dress with a pink apron and pink trim. She has a small round magnet on the bottom. Measures 1-3/4" tall, 1" wide, 7/8" deep.
- FPT6722 - Pink magnetic key with a magnet on one end and a handle on the other end. The handle is marked "Precious Places®" on one side and has a paper litho on the other side, unknown decription of litho. (Litho may be missing). Marked "©'88 F-P MACAO". Measures 5-1/2" long, 1-5/8" wide, 1/4" thick.
- FPT17212 - White 8-1/2" x 11" instructions sheet for the #5162 Kitchen Cottage. The instructions have black print and pictures.
