Description: Over the years Fisher-Price made several different toys that featured a xylophone, however Fisher-Price made only two xylophone toys with Donald Duck. The first was 1938-1942's #185 Donald Duck Xylophone. Both Donald Duck Zylophones are similar, but the main difference is the hat. Donald has a band cap in the #185, but his hat is marked "Donald Duck" on the #177.
Accessories:
  • FPT8268 - Wooden cut-out figure with paper lithographs on both sides of Donald Duck wearing a blue sailor shirt and a blue cap marked "Donald Duck" in white. Donald has 2 separate wooden arms with paper lithographs on both sides of sleeves and hands. Each hand has an attached mallet with a wooden ball on the end that strikes the keys on the 7-note xylophone. The xylophone is mounted on a red rectangular wooden platform elevated to meet Donald's mallets by a four yellow wooden dowels. Donald and xylophone are mounted on a green rectangular wooden platform that rolls on four red wooden wheels. Measures 13" high, 11" long, and 6" wide. *See "Variations" below.
