Description: The #161 Looky Chug Chug was dubbed the 1949 Christmas best seller and with it's realistic sound and action, and collectors can understand why. Piston rods move in and out of the cylinders with realistic motion while the engine makes a locomotive sound. The front of the engine has a happy face with eyes that roll up and down. The happy train also has a metal bell with a pull ring for children to pull to clear the tracks. Engine with cart measures 14" long, 5-1/4" wide, and 7" high.
Accessories:
  • FPT8323 - Looky Chug-Chug Engine - Wooden train engine with a round boiler that is covered with a paper lithograph that is black on the front and wood-simulated on the back. The engine has a tall black wooden smoke stack with a red wooden bead on top of the boiler. The engine has a red wooden cab with a long roof on top that has a metal bell on the front and a metal pull ring on the back to ring the bell. The sides of the cab have 2 windows and an emblem marked "161" under the windows. The front of the boiler has a round red smiling face with eyes that roll up and down when the engine is pulled. Round blue wooden "piston rods" attached to the engine's back wheels move in and out of the square yellow wooden "cylinders" and make a locomotive sound as the toy is pulled. Engine rolls on 4 red wooden wheels.
  • FPT1285 - Coal Cart - Red wooden Coal Cart with lithos on the sides marked, "L + CCRR". Rolls on 4 red wooden wheels and has a metal hook on the front to connect to the FPT8323 Looky Chug-Chug Engine.
