Description: This long-lived telephone had been a child's favorite for many decades! The Chatter Telephone was designed with a rotary dial to teach children how to dial a telephone. When the dial is turned and released, it rewards child with a ringing bell! This friendly phone makes a "chatter" and his eyes roll up and down as he is pulled. Designed for children ages 2 to 6 years old.

While the Chatter Telephone has always maintained it's same basic appearance, several subtle changes/alterations were made over the years. The phone's body and wheels were originally made of wood, but both later became plastic. Also be sure to note the side and back lithos for different markings per era. Adding to potention confusion and identification difficulties, the phone's model number was changed in 1990, reintroducing the Chatter Telephone as the #2035 Chatter Telephone. Two years later, the phone's lithos were slightly changed and reintroduced again as 1992-1993's #2063 Chatter Telephone. By 1994, the Chatter Telephone was completely remodeled and bubbled to include no corners anywhere on the phone (#2251 Chatter Telephone). And so it remained, until...

New Millennium Chatter Telphone - Sometime after the new millennium (around 2005), the Chatter Telephone was reintroduced as one of the limited edition "Classic" toys, featuring a brown rectangular "Classic" Fisher-Price logo on the back of the phone's base. In 2010, the Chatter Telephone made it's way to Hollywood with a role in a motion-picture movie: Disney/Pixar's Toy Story 3! In the movie, Chatter is one of the oldest toys at Sunnyside Daycare. He tries to help Woody escape from Sunnyside. In response to Chatter's silver screen success, Fisher-Price introduced the Toy Story 3 Talking Chatter Telephone. The Chatter Telephone was reintroduced again in 2012 as one of the Fisher-Price Classics toys (remakes of popular vintage toys).
