Description: Fabric stores and cloth departments are quite rare in this day and age, as few people have time to sew. During the late seventies and early eighties, sewing was far more common and this set, complete with patterns to make My Friend doll clothes, was a great idea for mothers and children who preferred to give their doll a more "personalized" look by dressing them in clothes that they had made. The set comes with a 16-page booklet titled "Four Seasons Fashions for My Friend Dolls" The booklet has a story titled "The tale of two good friends", and a multitude of tips on making clothing accessories. The booklet has a sleeve on the back cover that holds 4 different patterns, one for each season.
